Housmans Pool

Opening in 2018, Housmans Pool is a beautiful tree lined 1 acre water set in very peaceful, secluded surroundings a few miles from Ironbridge. When the club first took on the water it was overgrown and contained no fish, this made it ideal for the stocking of crucian carp. In 2017, working in conjunction with the EA, the club stocked a good number of both crucians and tench and both species have established themselves and are showing good rates of growth. Anti cormorant tapes have been placed across the pool to protect the fish from the attentions of these voracious predators. There are around ten swims present on Housemans all of which are easy to access and fish. Simple tactics are the way to fish Housmans though do take into account that crucians are notorious for their delicate feeding so light float tactics work well.
