Located
a
few
miles
outside
Bridgnorth,
Forest
Lake
is
a
stunning
6
acre
estate
lake
hidden
away
in
rolling
countryside.
Large
platforms
on
the
wooded
side
make
for
easy
access
and
comfortable
fishing.
The
lake
used
to
be
a
trout
fishery
and
as
such
there
are
very
few,
if
any,
pike
in
the
water.
This
has
allowed
the
perch
to
become
the
main
predator
and
some
very
large
fish
are
present
in
the
lake.
There
is
a
good
head
of
roach
and
these
have
been
caught
to
1¾
lb
though
there
is
little
doubt
that
much
bigger
fish
are
swimming
around.
Forest
has
produced
tench
to
7lb,
beautiful
dark
fish
that
fight
like
demons
and certainly test light float tackle to the limit.
There
are
carp
in
the
lake
though
so
far
the
largest
fish
have
evaded
capture.
The
best
reported
is
a
common
over
just
over
20lbs though much bigger fish have been seen.
